Are we who we pretend to be on social media?
My wife and I were shopping at a local antique consignment shop over the weekend and came across this sign,“May your life someday be as awesome as you pretend it is on Facebook.” I had to laugh and took this picture to share, where else but on Facebook! It received a number of comments as it seems everyone knows that a lot of what we tend to share are only the filtered, happy highlights. Our online lives tend to reflect only the good and intentionally leaving off the bad parts. We are in essence publishing our own autobiography of how we want to be remembered.
