An opportunity to build new business relationships and meet America’s most powerful marketing executives in person as they share their insights about marketing to Millennials.
This is a guest post written by Jeff Fromm, EVP at Barkley and Founder of the annual Share.Like.Buy Conference, the largest single gathering of Millennials marketing experts in the country. Conference speakers are tops in their fields, dynamic CEOs, CMOs, VPs of marketing, agency presidents, researchers, analysts, and authors as they report the latest insights into the Millennial generation.
How Millennial ready is your agency? This group already outnumbers Baby Boomers by more than a million and make up nearly 25% of the U.S. population. They’re a force to be reckoned with for marketers now and in the future. Learn why they buy what they buy, who influences them and what it takes to gain their loyalty.
The 80 million consumers who make up the Millennial generation (born 1977 to 1995) aren’t kids anymore. The youngest will be 21 in just four short years. They’re all a vital part of your customer base right now and their spending power—currently estimated at $200 billion annually—will only increase over time.
This is a tech-savvy group. A 2011 survey by Barkley, The Boston Consulting Group and SMG found that 77% of them use laptop computers at home and at the time, 59% had smartphones.
They are “always on.” Which means that your business needs to have accurate, mobile-ready information available to them when they want it. While they’re out and about, they’re going to want to know your address, hours and what kinds of deals they can get when they arrive.
They’re also a very social group, and their online sociability extends to businesses. More than 60% rate products and services on the web, nearly 53% say they like checking out brands on social media sites like Facebook and Twitter, and more than 33% said that they like a brand more when it uses social media.
